VOX Video: newer revisions of the AC327 have this option included - if the VOX Video setting is not showing in the settings of your monitor - it cannot be added.
What is VOX Video – basically if the Nursery / Camera Unit detects sound the video display will come ON.
To save power, the video display goes OFF once there is no sound detected.
To use the VOX Video function you will need to:
Firstly, set a preferred sleep mode for the video display to go OFF if no sound is being detected:
You must set the sleep mode to display video for: 30 seconds, 1 min, 2 mins or 3 mins before going into sleep mode.
How to check / change to your preferred setting:
- Press the Menu button on the Parent Unit
- Using the right and left arrows, select the Screen Saver Function:
- Using the up and down arrow to select the preferred delay before the video display goes into sleep mode - 30s, 1m, 2m, 3m
- Press the Return button on the Parent Unit to save your new setting - you will then see a green arrow confirming your setting:
IMPORTANT: you cannot set the sleep mode to ON or OFF as the VOX Video will not function
Now you can activate the VOX Video:
- Press the Menu button on the Parent Unit:
- Press the Sub-Menu icon:
- Using the right and left arrows, select the VOX Video
- Using the up and down arrow change the sound level from OFF to 1, 2, 3 or 4
Note: the higher the level to more sensitive the VOX Video
To deactivate VOX Video change to OFF
- Press the Return button on the Parent Unit to save your new setting - you will then see a green arrow confirming your setting:
When VOX Video is activated will display in the toolbar on the display:
When deactivated – the icon will not show
