AC527: The video display on my screen goes off after a short time

You have the option to have the screen saver function OFF (video display is always ON) or, set to display for 30 seconds, 1 min, 2 mins or 3 mins before going into screen saver mode.

See the following for how to change to your preferred setting:

1. Press screen on the Parent Unit to access the menu.
2. Press the menu icon 
3. Press the Screen Saver Function 
4. Use the up and down arrows to select the preferred delay before the video display goes into screen save mode - 30s, 1m, 2m, 3m or OFF
5. Press the Return button  on the Parent Unit to save your new setting

Please Note: when the screen saver option is deactivated (OFF) the rechargeable battery power can be reduced by the constant transmission between the Parent Unit and Nursery/Camera Unit.

The Parent Unit and Nursery/Camera Unit are constantly transmitting to each other when they are switched ON as the units are monitoring temperature, movement etc.

In addition to this, when the microphone in the Nursery/Camera Unit detects any noise (whether it's your baby or background and even white noise) this is also transmitted from the Nursery/Camera Unit to the Parent Unit.

This can reduce the rechargeable battery power in the Parent Unit. Rechargeable battery life can also vary per home/room that they are being used in. Therefore, when used in your friends/neighbours homes, rechargeable battery power will vary due to different room/environments.

We do recommend that, in order to ensure that the Parent Unit remains ON and charged, you keep the Parent Unit connected to mains power.
