To explain, ALL Angelcare Movement Monitors that include a Sensor Pad are preset at the factory to detect movement as soon as the monitor is powered ON.
This is whether the Sensor Pad is not plugged in/or the battery is not installed in the pad, or, you do not want to monitor movement just yet.
Should you not wish to monitor your baby's movements just yet or, you are just setting up the monitor and/or want to get used to the functions etc you will need to deactivate the movement function until you are ready to begin full use of your monitor.
How does the Sensor Pad work:
To explain, when you switch the monitor ON when setting up for the first time, if there is no movement on the surface of the mattress/pad, after 15 seconds you will hear the:
- Rouse Alarm - this is a single low beep from the Nursery/Camera Unit only. This is often enough to rouse baby out of a deep sleep without waking them. Once they stir, move - the Sensor Pad detects their movements again
If after a further 5 seconds, movement is still not detected you will hear the:
- Main Alarm - this is a series of loud continuous beeps from both the Nursery/Camera Unit & Parent Unit (if switched on)
