AC401: How to: activate and/or adjust the temperature alarm

The Temperature ranges on the AC401 are:

• Low Temperature Setting Between 5° to 19°
• High Temperature Setting Between 22° to 40°

Your Angelcare Monitor can be used to monitor the temperature in your baby’s room and sound an alarm if the temperature is either too high or too low.

A triple beep will sound if the temperature is outside the programmed range. In addition to this an icon will flash on the screen:

If the temperature is higher than your preferred level the Parent Unit will emit 3 beeps and you will see a sun icon flashing on the screen

If the temperature is lower than your preferred level the Parent Unit will emit 3 beeps and you will see a snowflake icon flashing on the screen

The temperature sensor in the Nursery Unit is very sensitive and readings can be affected by (e.g.) cold or warm draughts, fans, placement next to a cold window or above a heating radiator.

Your Nursery Unit should not be placed on the floor, it should be at approx cot height.

Temperatures can vary from floor to ceiling and you need to ensure that your Nursery Unit is reading the correct level that you baby is placed at.

We recommend that you always use a 2nd separate digital thermometer placed in a different part of the room to achieve an accurate reading of the temperature in the baby’s room. 

To activate and/or adjust the temperature alarm see the following advice:

Press & release the MENU button on the Parent Unit 5 times until you see the "Snowflake, Sun & OF" Icons displayed on the screen

Press the UP arrow on the Parent Unit until you see "ON" and press SELECT to confirm the setting

Press the MENU button and the Snowflake Icon will flash

Press the UP or DOWN arrow on the Parent Unit to select the preferred lowest temperature for baby's room

Press SELECT to confirm the setting

Press the MENU button and the Sun Icon will flash

Press the UP or DOWN arrow on the Parent Unit to select the preferred highest temperature for baby's room

Press SELECT to confirm the setting

Press EXIT to save your preferred settings - this step MUST be done to save your settings or you will need to repeat the full process

To deactivate the Temperature Alarm

Press the MENU button briefly 5 times until you see "ON, a Snowflake & Sun Icon displayed on the screen

Press SELECT to confirm the setting

Press EXIT to save your preferred settings - this step MUST be done to save your settings or you will need to repeat the full process
