The Angelcare AC401 does not have the option to play continuous sound detected from the nursery. The AC401 model has the sound option of:
Sound Activated (VOX ON) - meaning that your monitor will only transmit sounds when it detects them:
To save power, after 10 seconds, the sound transmission from your Parent Unit will stop if:
no sound is detected in the room where the Nursery Unit is placed
the decibels from the sounds in the room where the Nursery Unit is placed do not change for 10 seconds
Once sound is detected transmission will automatically activate.
To check if sound is being detected, when music/a radio is being played in the room where the Nursery Unit is placed the sounds will be heard from the Parent Unit
IMPORTANT: do not play/test using lullaby music; this is soothing music and as the decibels do not change the sound transmission will automatically stop)
To increase the volume on the Nursery Unit microphone:
press the MENU button 3 times and the microphone icon will flash
press the UP arrow/button to change this to the highest setting
press the SELECT button
press the EXIT button
If you do not complete the last 2 steps the setting will revert to the previous one and you would need to begin again
